Early tallys from the Mid Ulster by election count while suggesting a low turnout overall indicate that the Unionist vote is up. In the Westminster poll in 2010 the DUP took 14.4%, the UUP 11% and the TUV 7.3%, any increase would be a boost for unity unionist candidate Nigel Lutton who appears to be enjoying his first election count at Cookstown leisure centre. Sinn Feins Francie Molloy still remains the favourite to take the seat although with 60% of the boxes opened and checked their vote is down with the SDLPs Patsy McGlone closing the gap and making inroads into the 21,000 votes secured by Martin Mc Guinness who has come along tonight to support Molloy. A result is still expected before 2am
