Mid Ulster By election 11pm update

All the candidates are now in situ at the Cookstown Leisure centre and counting in the Mid Ulster by election is now underway. The feeling in the sports hall where the count is underway is that the turnout has been low and that the poor weather perhaps more than voter apathy has had a part to play. Some polling stations by tea time were reporting some 25% turnout. There should be a clearer indication on turnout and early talliys by 11-45pm
